A certified BA from Mercer University in the arts of political science & economics, the hometown hero of Social Circle, GA, & an advocate for all your favorite causes dripping in sweet southern charm.

First chair baritone, captain of the flag team, varsity competition cheerleader and dancer, senior class president, and salutatorian, it was assumed I had peaked in high school. I did not.

After taking over Social Circle, I moved to Macon to attend Mercer University. I studied political science and economics and fell in love with the liberal arts. After reading the entirety of the Western canon, becoming a political philosopher, and cheering sidelines for Mercer University's basketball team as they defeated Duke in March Madness, I became the ultimate Mercer bear. Truly, for Mercer I will live and die.

My professor invited me to the Republic of Georgia to assist in civil society fieldwork. I lived in a Muslim boarding school, took cold showers, and perfected the squatty potty. I then moved to Morocco where I mastered eating with my hands, belly dancing, and rocking the meat sweats.

My passion for travel inspired me to apply for the Boren Scholarship to study Georgian at Tbilisi State University. I left with an intermediate proficiency and the ability to eat ten khinkali in one sitting and ferment grapes in qvevri.

Because of Boren, government service is my future. It has also been my past, I've relished being a public servant and working for the people in the Georgia and United States House of Representatives. After receiving my degrees from Syracuse University, I have worked for a variety of US government agencies as a contractor including USAID and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

When I'm not studying, you can catch me at the local McDonalds, sipping a Coke, listening to a true crime or celebrity gossip podcast, chipping away at my GoodReads goal of 125 with my kitties at home, or hopping around DC with my besties.
